Invest In Our Students
Russell Byers Charter School is an urban public elementary school that is committed to providing a high-quality education similar to academic programs offered at private schools and in affluent suburban public schools. Funding is a major challenge to achieving this goal. For example, the per pupil allotment in the 2008-2009 school year in the Radnor School District is $16,141 as compared to $12,077 for a Philadelphia public school student and even less, $8,832 for a students at a Philadelphia charter school such as Russell Byers.
To sustain the school's vision of providing equal opportunities for our students, the school needs dependable funding sources that supplement its Philadelphia School District funding. Only through donations of money, services, supplies and other support can we meet the challenge.
We are proud that 94 percent of our alumni are attending leading charter, independent, magnet, parochial schools as well as public schools outside of Philadelphia. We couldn't do it without your support!
